He Knows Your Name

He Knows Your Name

Have you ever felt alone in a crowded room or lost and not sure where to turn? Maybe you wonder why you even try anymore when every decision you make seems to be the wrong one and some days it feels like too much to keep going. Friends, these feelings are more common than you think, and there is hope for tomorrow.

Do you realize that God knows your name and is here to help you in your time of need? In Matthew 10:29-31 we read, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” That’s how closely God watches over us, down to a bird’s fall and the hairs on our head. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

The same God who counts every hair sees every stumble, every wrong turn, every night you wondered if you could keep going. He loves us so much that he sent Jesus, not because of anything we had done right, but because of his mercy, so that we could become members of God’s family (Titus 3:4-7).

The next time you feel yourself slipping, pause and remember: God has called you by name, you are his (Isaiah 43:1). He cares for you and wants you to come home today, while you still can.

If you’re struggling and need someone to talk to, reach out to a minister, trusted friend, or dial 988 to talk to the Suicide and Crisis Line.  You do not have to carry this alone.
